I’m beyond excited to introduce you to this fearless Boss Mama, Beka! I first met her through my dear friend Tori (you’ve gotta check out her feature here!). When Tori was trying to get back into her routine and exercise after baby, she was on the hunt for a gym that offered flexibility—and babysitting. That’s exactly how she stumbled upon Blush Boot Camp…and that’s where she met Beka.

The concept behind Blush Boot Camp is absolutely genius. It’s a women-only facility, which is a game-changer because let’s be real—sometimes walking into a regular gym as a woman can feel a little intimidating. Blush Boot Camp creates a safe, supportive space for women to come as they are, no matter what season of life they’re in. And here’s the cherry on top: they offer onsite babysitting—so mamas can focus on themselves while their little ones are cared for. Win-win! Bonus: babysitting is complimentary for members! What?! 🤯

This gym attracts women from all walks of life—working Moms, young women, and even mother-daughter duos who crush workouts together. It’s truly a space that celebrates women supporting women.

I was thrilled when Tori told me about Beka and her bold move to purchase Blush Boot Camp and run it as a woman-owned facility. And yes, she’s a Mom too! Beka’s story is such a reminder that you can get your groove back and dive back into things that bring you joy—even after kids. And she does it all with the love and support of her little ones, which shines through in her story below. Not only is she a Mom to two kiddos, she’s also a Mom to 20 chickens! Talk about a busy Boss Mama. Somehow, she still manages to make it all work—thanks to some serious prioritization and time management skills.

Moms really are real-life superheroes—no one works harder or hustles harder than a Mom!

I can’t wait for you to get to know Beka and see the incredible change she’s creating in her community. Through her bravery, passion, and commitment, she’s giving women a space to feel empowered and show up just as they are.

Let’s dive in! But first, don’t forget to check her out on socials and give her a follow. ✨

We love a good origin story, but first, give us your short + sweet intro!

We’ve created a welcoming space where women can build community and strengthen healthy habits all while knowing their kids are safe and cared for. It’s a place designed for Moms to show up as they are, get a great workout in, and feel supported every step of the way.

Every boss mama has a ‘day one.’ What was yours?

The Mt. Juliet Blush Boot Camp opened in 2023 as a corporate location. I joined as a member and quickly fell in love with the atmosphere and the concept of a women-only space. Before long, I reached out to the owner to see if he’d consider selling the location so it could become a franchise. There’s something powerful about having a local woman leading the space — someone who knows the community, is present for the members and staff, and truly understands what they need.

Which came first—the business or the babies? Tell us how your family + business journeys intersected.

After! I’ve been married for 13.5 years and have a 9-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son.

We know it’s a wild ride—tell us how you’ve balanced building your dream biz while raising your crew. The good, the tough, the real.

It’s definitely been a challenge. We’ve been a homeschooling family for a few years now, so finding the balance between school time, my new work schedule, and still making space for family time in the evenings has been… interesting. Some days, school takes a back seat to work — but that’s the beauty of homeschooling: we get to create a schedule that actually works for us. And my family has been so supportive and understanding while Mom’s time looks a little different during this transition.

Spill a fun little secret about you!

One challenge I overcame was the day the Wi-Fi went out, the water heater started leaking gas, both toilets clogged, and the roof started leaking — all at once! But we survived!

Tell us your superpower—what’s your product, service, or special offering?

Gym memberships, nutrition supplements, and apparel.

What’s the magic that sets you apart?

#1: We’re a women-only space!
#2: We have the best staff — a team that truly cares for one another and for every single member.

Spill the tea — any big milestones, press shoutouts, or launches on the horizon?

Our Grand Re-Opening is happening on December 13th from 2–4 PM!

Give us a Day in the Life of being both Mom and CEO!

A typical week for us looks something like this:

Most mornings start with schoolwork with the kids. Then we head to the gym for my workout and/or to teach classes. After that, we grab lunch, run errands, or head home for house and animal chores before finishing any schoolwork that didn’t get done earlier.

I teach two hours every Monday morning and two more hours Monday evening, so school tends to happen in the small cracks of the day on Mondays. Lately, a lot of it has even been done at the gym between classes.

Wednesdays are our homeschool co-op days from 12–4:30 PM, so we squeeze in chores before co-op. (We have two dogs and 20 chickens!) After dinner on Wednesdays, I sit down to catch up on any emails or work waiting for me.

Thursdays are usually pretty typical, except both kids have piano in the afternoon. While one is in lessons, I work with the other on any unfinished schoolwork. If we’re caught up, I use their piano time to create social media content for the gym or make any calls I need to handle.

I teach for three hours on Friday mornings, so we keep Fridays light with review-style schoolwork and a little extra fun.

We’re also part of a homeschool field trip group, so once a month we get to mix things up with a fun outing.

What’s the single best piece of advice or favorite tool you’d share with other mamas building their businesses?

Research as much as you can about the company or industry you want to enter. Get everything lined up before you ever start, so when you do jump in, you already know which bookkeeper you want, what tax forms you need, how to set up your LLC, and more. You don’t want to dive in and then deal with the added stress of figuring all of that out while also trying to get your business off the ground and profitable.

What’s been your biggest challenge juggling motherhood and running a business?

Dinner time, lol! I make sure meals are planned so that when work fires happen and keep me out of the house longer than expected, my family is still well taken care of.

What’s your approach to balancing business and family? We love the real, unfiltered stories!

I don’t think I did a very good job of this at first, because the business demanded so much of my time. But now that we’re a few months in (I took over in August 2025), we’re starting to find some stability and the business requires less of my attention every single minute of the day.

Looking back, what’s something you wish you had known before starting your business?

I don’t think there’s anything I wish I had known beforehand, because we spent about six months with lawyers and in the negotiation process to make sure we were 100% ready — and that our family would still be financially protected if anything didn’t work out. Doing your research before jumping in is so important!

What tool, resource, or habit has completely changed the game for you?

Outsourcing! I had to adopt the mindset that I can’t work on the business if I’m constantly working in the business. To make that happen, I had to accept that outsourcing tasks is not only okay — it’s actually the best way to keep things moving smoothly.

What mindset shifts have helped you keep going during hard seasons?

That it’s just a season! Getting started is hard and time-consuming, but it’s just a season. One day, the business will be running smoothly and profitably enough that I won’t need to be as hands-on as I am now… until we open another location and start the process all over again 😉

What words of encouragement would you give a Mom tempted to give up on her business dream?

Don’t give up! There’s nobody tougher or more capable than a Mom building a life for her family. Take a deep breath, tighten your ponytail, and get back at it!

Beka’s story perfectly captures the whirlwind life of a full-time working Mom. She’s growing a new business, managing her family’s needs, and homeschooling her children all while thinking ten steps ahead to make sure everyone and everything is taken care of. And let’s be real, that is no small feat! Honestly, Beka deserves a Mom of the Year award. 🏆

Stories like hers are exactly why I created this community—to remind women that they are not alone. I love highlighting mamas who are sacrificing so much (often putting their own needs on the back burner) to carve their own path and build the life they want for themselves and their families.

This community is all about being bold and brave, stepping out of our comfort zones, and sharing our unfiltered stories. It’s about connecting, empowering, and creating authentically—just as we are. I can’t wait to watch all the success that awaits Beka as she embarks on this exciting new journey with Blush Boot Camp. You go, girl!

I’d love to feature more Boss Mamas like Beka. Just like Tori shared Beka’s story with me so I could shine a spotlight on her, you can do the same! If you know a Boss Mama who deserves the spotlight, please reach out and send me their info here. And hey, if that’s you, I love a little self-brag too! Send me your details so we can shine the spotlight on you as well.

Here’s to all the incredible Moms juggling a million things—keep shining bright, cheering each other on, and building the life you love!
