Boss Mama Story: Finding Purpose in the Hard Seasons

March 11, 2026

Gia is an absolute gem. I first met her at a mompreneur networking event at Cowo & Crèche. We were both early birds, which made it easy to connect, and from the start, her warmth and authenticity stood out. Hearing her story and learning about the business she’s building was inspiring. It’s a journey rooted in working through trauma, finding strength, and teaching resilience. Now, she’s passing those lessons to her daughter and creating amazing tools for other kids along the way.

As women, finding our voice is something many of us struggle with growing up. This generation is different. We’ve cultivated the strength and emotional intelligence to speak our truth. And because of that, we can model courage for our daughters, helping them discover their own voices along the way. Gia is teaching courage by example, and it’s beautiful to watch.

But she’s not just creating tools for kids. She’s building powerful resources for women too who need help strengthening their resilience, growing their confidence, and finding their voice. In February, she hosted her first mompreneur Galentine’s event, and it was nothing short of amazing. Her passion, creativity, and heart shone through every detail. She crushed it.

Watching Gia grow and seeing the impact she’s making is such a privilege. I can’t wait to see where this journey leads her next.

Before you dive into her story, be sure to check her out on socials and give this Boss Mama a follow!

We love a good origin story, but first, give us your short + sweet intro!

I design creative emotional wellness experiences for women and children through guided workshops, reflection journals, affirmation books, and confidence-building craft activities. My mission is to help them understand their emotions, build confidence, and become the author of their own lives.

Every boss mama has a ‘day one.’ What was yours?

Bloom Within Studio began in 2024 during one of the most identity-shifting seasons of my life. After becoming a mother, supporting my husband through the loss of both of his parents during COVID, and balancing a full-time career in IT, I realized I had quietly lost pieces of myself.

Creativity became my way back. My grandmother taught me embroidery, sewing, and beadwork growing up, and creating had always been my safe place. In 2024 I began designing again—painting, journaling, and creating digital designs.

In 2025 I turned those designs into my first postpartum coloring book and realized creativity wasn’t just art, it was a tool for emotional healing and reflection.

Bloom Within Studio grew from that realization. What started as personal healing evolved into journals, workshops, and tools designed to help women and children build confidence, emotional awareness, and a stronger inner voice.

Which came first—the business or the babies? Tell us how your family + business journeys intersected.

My business came after my family, and because of it. Motherhood pushed me to reconnect with my creativity and build something that helps other women and children feel emotionally strong and seen.

We know it’s a wild ride—tell us how you’ve balanced building your dream biz while raising your crew. The good, the tough, the real.

Building a business while raising a family has been beautiful and stretching. There have been moments I considered waiting for a calmer season.

I started posting simple teaching videos sharing the same lessons I give my daughter about confidence and emotional strength. When women began telling me those messages helped them through hard seasons, I realized the mission was bigger than I expected.

The hardest part has been navigating guilt and self-doubt, but Bloom Within Studio hasn’t taken me away from my family, it’s made our home more intentional.

In the end, I’m not just building a business. I’m building a legacy of emotional strength for my daughter.

What’s one obstacle you’ve overcome?

One challenge has been stepping into visibility while working in a completely different field. As an IT Compliance Analyst, I’m used to systems and structure, not cameras and storytelling.

My husband was one of the first people to encourage me to share my voice publicly and reminded me that the message mattered more than perfection.

Learning to show up, speak openly, and create community has been one of my biggest growth moments.

What’s the magic that sets you apart?

Bloom Within Studio focuses on emotional education, not just self-care. My workshops and tools are intentionally designed to teach emotional awareness, confidence, and self-regulation in ways families can practice together.

I design for both women and children so families can build a shared emotional language and stronger inner confidence.

Spill the tea — any big milestones, press shoutouts, or launches on the horizon?

This season is especially exciting. Being featured in Boss Mama CEO is a meaningful milestone.

I’m also launching workshops with Cowo & Crèche, beginning with their Moms & Mocktails events and expanding into Mommy & Me experiences focused on emotional wellness.

I’m also launching the Princess Within Planner, created during a season when I needed a space to brain dump, reflect, and reset. It includes reflection prompts, mental clarity pages, and creative elements designed for busy women, especially moms.

Give us a Day in the Life of being both Mom and CEO!

There’s no perfect routine, but small rituals anchor big responsibilities.

Morning
Mornings are busy—packing lunches, organizing bags, and getting everyone out the door. Before the rush begins, I ground myself with prayer and a few moments of reflection.

Afternoon
During the day I work as an IT Compliance Analyst. The structure of that role actually strengthens how I build my business. During breaks, I jot down ideas for workshops or content.

Evening
Evenings are family time—dinner, conversations, and connection. The emotional tools I teach publicly are the same ones we practice at home.

Night
After bedtime, Bloom Within Studio comes alive. I design journals, outline workshops, and prepare materials.

Balance for me isn’t equal time, it’s intentional presence.

My family comes first, my career is steady, and my calling grows in the in-between, all while teaching my daughter that we can love ourselves louder than the world speaks.

What’s the single best piece of advice or favorite tool you’d share with other mamas building their businesses?

Don’t wait for the perfect season, there will always be a reason to delay.

Start small, stay consistent, and regulate yourself before trying to lead others. Whether in parenting or business, your emotional state sets the tone.

You don’t need perfect balance, you need grounded presence.

What’s been your biggest challenge juggling motherhood and running a business?

The hardest part hasn’t been the workload, it’s the internal pressure.

Entrepreneurship shifts your priorities, and that can sometimes feel isolating. Growth reshapes your relationships, your time, and your focus.

Motherhood changed me. Entrepreneurship refined me.

What’s your approach to balancing business and family? We love the real, unfiltered stories!

I don’t chase perfect balance, I build intentional rhythms.

Some seasons require more from business, others more from family. I protect dinner time, conversations, and emotional presence at home.

I’ve also learned I don’t need to do everything myself. Systems and support allow me to stay focused on what I do best—creating meaningful work.

Looking back, what’s something you wish you had known before starting your business?

I wish I had known I didn’t need to do everything or move fast to be successful.

Clarity matters more than speed, and sustainability matters more than visibility.

Stay aligned, trust your pace, and build something that reflects who you truly are.

What tool, resource, or habit has completely changed the game for you?

Writing my thoughts down helps move me from overwhelmed to aligned. Even five minutes of journaling or prayer resets my mindset.

Gratitude keeps ambition from turning into anxiety.

What mindset shifts have helped you keep going during hard seasons?

Growth doesn’t have to be loud to be real.

I focus on being intentional rather than doing everything at once. Progress isn’t always visible, but consistency builds momentum.

Hard seasons refine you, they don’t disqualify you.

What words of encouragement would you give a Mom tempted to give up on her business dream?

You don’t have to build your dream loudly or quickly. Build it slowly, faithfully, and in the margins if you need to.

You’re building while raising humans, that alone takes courage.

It’s such a joy to see women in their element, building businesses from their own experiences and a passion to help others. Gia and I are part of a partnership network with Cowo & Crèche, and it all started by simply showing up and making connections. Putting yourself out there really is everything. Sometimes all it takes is a little courage to show up and start a conversation. You never know what one small moment of connection might turn into.

Watching it all unfold through real-life experience has been so rewarding. It’s proof that with just a little courage, amazing things can happen. That night, Gia and I just showed up to meet other mompreneurs, and ended up feeling anything but alone in this wild journey of motherhood and entrepreneurship.

Like Gia, I also juggle a 9-to-5, so we get the level of commitment and hustle each other is putting in. That shared understanding makes the respect we have for one another even stronger. I’m so excited to watch her journey, and I’ll be cheering her on every step of the way.

I’d love to feature more Boss Mamas like Gia. If you know someone who deserves the spotlight, please reach out and send me their info at thebossmamaceo@gmail.com. And hey, if that’s you, I love a little self-brag too! Send me your details so we can shine the spotlight on you as well.

Here’s to all the incredible Moms juggling a million things—keep shining bright, cheering each other on, and building the life you love!
